Dunstanburgh castle (out and back and visit) - Northumberland - 06/10/20 - 4 Miles - Helen (Frida)

How a castle in Northumberland ought to look.
Photobombing is neither big nor clever.
Dog and owner in discussion at the beach.

Cragside (circular and other loops) - Northumberland - 05/10/20 - 4 Miles - Helen (Frida)

Hollymoorside / Chander Hill (Circular) - Derbyshire - 4 Miles - 18/05/20 - Helen (Frida)

Two reasons for this picture. 1 - To show that there are still bluebells to be found. 2 - To showcase a photo from my new Nokia camera (normal Kodak service resumes in the next blog post)

Tideswell (circular via Tansley, Cressbrook, Millers, Monsal, Highdale and Tideswell Dales) - 22/06/19 - 8.5 Miles - Helen and B dog

It's Well Dressing season.
Some light and shade in the Peak
B tells me off for losing her stick.
Helen stands around looking pretty.
I trek through another dale.
No trouble at Mill's.
We were too far away from Monsal to get an ice cream.
Helen finds a new pet, leaving B with her nose out of joint.

Grindsbrook Clough / Jacobs Ladder (circular) - 01/06/19 - 8 Miles - Helen

Nice and easy before the scramble up Grindsbrook Clough.
Helen wading through a sea of rocks.
There are some funny looking rocks up on Kinder.
I said there are some funny looking rocks up on Kinder.
Lots of nice scenery.
The funny thing was, we already thought we had descended Jacobs Ladder.
And then we realised that we hadn't.

Stanage Edge / Hathersage (Circular) - 11/05/19 - 9 Miles - Helen +B

B dog makes her way up from the Dennis Knoll car park.
And then the heavens opened.
And got dry again before we ran into some scary cows.
There'll be bluebells over the ..........
Tried to show the dog some history ...... oh what's the point.
