Snowdon (Pyg Track Up / Llanberis Path Down) - Wales - 23/05/17 - 8 Miles - Helen
All about the Pyg Track.
Helen strides up.
Some Japanese tourists took our picture at Bwlch y Moch (and no we didn't turn right for Crib Goch)
We kept a helicopter on standby in case we got tired.
Pushing on.
When you haven't any change.
Ten years later I am back on the summit, and this time the café is open.
Helen thought the train was going to carry her down.
But soon realised there was little point chasing it.
All about the Llanberis Path.

Bubnell to Beeley (out and back) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 18/05/17 - 8 Miles
The Bluebells are still hanging around.
Do not ?
The puddle trail.
Into the blue yonder.
New species of frog.
Strange alien monster waiting to jump me, when I pass those trees.

Edale / Kinder / Grindsbrook (circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 14/05/17 - 5.75 Miles
Having sat out the unexpected shower in a café in Edale, the weather improved for the way up.
There were some funny looking cairns around.
At last we reach Ringing Roger.
Interesting stone carving.
Oh look, here are some more.
Strange cylindrical object could clearly be seen near Grindsbrook Knoll.
The stony and slippy descent back to Edale.

Birchen Edge (circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 07/05/17 - 4.25 Miles - Helen (Molly)
One man and his bitch, at the Nelson Monument.
Crossing the savannah.
See the wild beasts that live there.
Waiting for a bus at the Wellington Monument ?
Helen wonders whether she can get over the fence or not.
Now you see him.
Now you don't.

Chatsworth / Beeley Moor / Carlton Lees (Circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 04/05/17 - 8 Miles
The way into Chatsworth from Baslow.
Everywhere you look they are gearing up for the upcoming horse trials.
The descent to Carlton Lee's
It's a shame half of the house is still covered in bandages.
Still it doesn't put off the exotic wildlife.
