Longnor/Chrome Hill (circular) - Staffordshire (Peak District) - 30/07/16 - 8.5 Miles - Helen (Molly)
My two companions are poised to climb Chrome Hill (in the background).
Naturally I lead the way.
But then my summit triumph gets photo-bombed.
The (private) Parkhouse Hill ahead of us on the descent.
A rather forward sheep started to worry our dog.

Hope to Edale (via Lose Hill, Back Tor and Mam Tor) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 23/07/16 - 6.25 Miles
If you haven't got a Hope, there's a church here for you.
I think that's where I am heading !
Despite my instructions keeping on saying 'follow the signs to Lose Hill', this was as close as they got.
The sheep on the summit of Lose Hill don't muck about; if they're hungry, they just eat one of their friends.
The Great Ridge, heading for Mam Tor.
Dentistry like this, doesn't come cheap you know.

Birchen Edge (circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 21/07/16 - 5 Miles (approx)
They BAKE WELL, these sausage rolls.
As I was doing the same walk as 21st May but only in the opposite direction, the KEY was to use the same paths. I ended up LOST however, hence the extra distance.
The heather is becoming more visible.
These Cows looked really cute on the other side of the fence.
Ever get the feeling you're being watched.

North Wingfield to Stone Edge (Chesterfield Round Walk: part4) - 13/07/16 - 6.5 Miles
After a long and protracted battle with nettles, I finally made it into the relatively accessible Far Tupton Wood.
Mind that electric fence.
It must soon be harvest time.
If it hasn't started already.
The spire of that church in the distance; why it looks crooked !
Follow the pole.
It looks clear and easy on here, but finding a way near the end through two farms and onto Matlock road, was anything but (the site of this information board by the way) .

Longshaw/Froggatt Edge/White Edge (circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 09/07/16 - 5.5 Miles - Helen (Molly)
The views are good from Froggatt.
But the dog soon gets hacked off if you don't know where you're going.
And ends up wandering off with someone else.

Brimington to Heath to North Wingfield (Chesterfield Round Walk: parts 2 and 3) - 07/07/16 - 10 Miles
No prizes for spotting the mobile phone transmitter in Brimington.
Crossing a footbridge into the ancient West Wood.
The ruins of Sutton Scarsdale Hall.
Bolsover Castle in the far distance, but visible from Sutton Scarsdale Hall, so I imagine their must have been a historical relationship between the two centres.
Lama's are taking over the countryside now.
This way to Heath.
Itchy arms time.
The church at Heath.
View over Williamthorpe Ponds (nature reserve) which is on the site of the former colliery of the same name, and part of the five pits trail.
Well if you don't believe me, read the notice board.

Grindleford/Burbage Rocks/Longshaw (circular) - Derbyshire (Peak District) - 03/07/16 - 8.5 Miles - Helen (Molly)
Padley Chapel, and the remains of the manor house.
Crossing Mitchell Field.
The gradual ascent to Higger Tor.
Upside down poetry on the Longshaw Estate.
